Ingredients

4 slices of artisan sourdough bread
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup of grated cheddar cheese
1 cup of grated mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Pinch of salt
Optional: 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano or basil for an herby touch
Steps
Step 1
In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with minced garlic. Spread this garlic butter evenly on one side of each bread slice.
Step 2
Combine the cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses in another bowl.
Step 3
Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.
Step 4
Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in the pan. Sprinkle half of the cheese mixture evenly over the bread.

Place another slice of bread on top, buttered side up.

Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese has melted, pressing down lightly with a spatula.
Step 7
Repeat with the remaining bread and cheese.
