Ingredients

  • 2 lbs pork shoulder

  • 1 bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce

  • 1 onion, finely chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp mustard powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 12 mini slider buns

  • Coleslaw (optional, for serving)

  • Pickles (optional, for serving)

Steps

Step 1

Season the pork shoulder with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and mustard powder.

Step 2

Place the pork in a slow cooker and add the chopped onion and garlic.

Step 3

Pour the BBQ sauce over the pork, ensuring it's well coated.

Step 4

Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the pork is tender and shreds easily.

Step 5

Once cooked, shred the pork using two forks and stir well to mix with the BBQ sauce.

Step 6

Toast the slider buns lightly.

Step 7

Assemble the sliders: place a generous amount of pulled pork on each bun, top with coleslaw and pickles if desired.

Make it your own!

  • Add a splash of apple cider vinegar to the pork for a tangy twist.

  • Try a spicy BBQ sauce for an extra kick.

  • For a healthier option, serve with a side of salad instead of coleslaw.

  • Vegetarian guests? Substitute jackfruit for pork.
