Ingredients
π½οΈ Servings: 6 β’ π₯ Calories/Serving: 450
2 racks baby back pork ribs (about 5 lbs)
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for spiciness)
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
Aluminum foil for wrapping
Steps
Step 1
Preheat your grill to 225Β°F (107Β°C) for indirect grilling.
Step 2
Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs with a paper towel for better seasoning adherence.
Step 3
In a bowl, mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, cumin, black pepper, kosher salt, and smoked paprika to make the dry rub.
Step 4
Generously apply the dry rub all over the ribs, making sure every nook and cranny is covered.
Step 5
Wrap the ribs tightly in aluminum foil to lock in the moisture.
Step 6
Place the wrapped ribs on the cooler part of the grill for indirect cooking. Close the lid and cook for about 2.5 hours, or until the meat is tender and pulls away from the bone.
Step 7
Optional: For the last 15 minutes, remove the foil and place the ribs directly on the grill to char slightly, adding that irresistible smoky flavor.
Step 8
Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before slicing into individual servings.
Make it your own!
Add a touch of honey to the rub for a sweet and spicy twist.
Experiment with wood chips like hickory or applewood for varied smoky flavors.
Brush the ribs with your favorite BBQ sauce during the last 15 minutes for a sticky, caramelized finish.
