Ingredients

🍽️ Servings: 12 sliders β€’ πŸ”₯ Calories/Serving: 250

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 12 mini slider buns

  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced

  • 6 slices of swiss cheese, cut in half

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, mustard

Steps

Step 1

Melt 1 tbsp butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the sliced onions, sprinkle with a pinch of salt, and cook, stirring occasionally, until caramelized (about 20 minutes). Set aside.

Step 2

In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and pepper, and form into 12 small patties.

Step 3

Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

Step 4

Place a half slice of swiss cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

Step 5

Toast the slider buns lightly on the grill pan or in a toaster.

Step 6

Assemble the sliders: place a beef patty with cheese on each bun, top with caramelized onions, and add any other desired toppings.

Step 7

Serve immediately and enjoy the game!

Make it your own!

  • Swap out beef for ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.

  • Add a slice of bacon or avocado for extra richness.

  • Try blue or cheddar cheese for a different flavor profile.

  • Spread a thin layer of garlic aioli or barbecue sauce on the buns for an extra kick.
