Grilled Chicken Avocado Wrap with Creamy Greek Yogurt Dressing

This wrap is the kind of thing I throw together when I want something quick but still fresh and filling. The grilled chicken is seasoned just enough to give it flavor without overpowering the other ingredients, and the creamy Greek yogurt dressing brings it all together. It’s a solid go-to for weekday lunches or casual dinners.

I first made a version of this after one of those “I have nothing to eat” fridge raids—turns out, I had chicken, an avocado, some greens, and tortillas. With a quick spice rub and a simple dressing made from Greek yogurt and herbs, this came together in about 20 minutes. Since then, it’s been in regular rotation.

I like using a grill pan when I can’t actually grill outside, and sometimes I swap in leftover roast chicken if I’ve got it. The wrap itself is flexible—you can throw in cucumbers, shredded carrots, even feta if you're feeling it. But the key combo of warm spiced chicken, creamy avocado, and tangy yogurt dressing really works.

Ingredients

For the Wrap:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • ½ tsp cumin

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 large ripe avocados, sliced

  • 4 large whole wheat tortillas

  • 1 cup lettuce leaves (romaine or mixed greens)

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

  • ¼ cup red onion, thinly sliced

For the Creamy Greek Yogurt Dressing:

  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • Salt and pepper to taste


Steps

Step 1

In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.

Step 2

Coat chicken breasts with the mixture and let sit for 10 minutes.

Step 3

Grill chicken over medium heat until cooked through (about 6–7 minutes per side). Let rest, then slice thinly.

Step 4

In another bowl, stir together all ingredients for the yogurt dressing until smooth.

Step 5

Warm the tortillas slightly for easier folding.

Step 6

Layer lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, sliced avocado, and grilled chicken in each wrap.

Step 7

Drizzle with the Greek yogurt dressing.

Step 8

Fold and roll tightly, then slice in half to serve.
