For the Cocktail

  • 2 oz bourbon

  • 4 oz unsweetened apple juice or apple cider

  • 1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice

  • Thin apple slices and cinnamon sticks for garnish

Cinnamon Syrup:

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 3-4 cinnamon sticks


Steps

Step 1

In a small saucepan, combine water, granulated sugar, and cinnamon sticks.

Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar has completely dissolved.

Allow the mixture to simmer for a few more minutes, then remove from heat and let the cinnamon sticks steep for about 15-20 minutes.

Remove the cinnamon sticks and let the syrup cool before using. Store any leftover syrup in the refrigerator for future cocktails.

In a shaker, combine bourbon, apple juice or cider, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and cinnamon syrup.
